Introduced way back in the mid 80s, the M3 is the high performance version of BMW’s 3 series compact sedan. M3s are upgraded in terms of weight savings, braking, aerodynamics, handling and various interior features, including BMW’s ongoing evolution of their limited-slip differential. For model year ‘15, the M3 was powered by a turbo 3.0L inline 6 that put out 425 hp and could launch the car to 60 mph in under four seconds.
When you shop 2015 BMW M3 tires, remember that the M3 has an offset tire design, meaning that front and rear tires are two different sizes. We’d recommend summer and ultra high performance tires like the Michelin Pilot Super Sport (with 30k mile treadwear warranty), Pirelli Cinturato P7 and Yokohama Advan Fleva V701, or performance-oriented all season tires like the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (45k mile warranty) and Yokohama Advan Sport A/S Plus (55k mile warranty). Just be mindful that summer and UHP tires use a softer, stickier tread formulation that enhances traction, but will stiffen and lose grip in colder weather; these tires shouldn’t be used at temperatures below about 45 degrees F.
