The Charger name dates back to the iconic muscle car of the 60s; the modern-day Charger sedan emerged in 2005, based on the RWD platform it shares with the Chrysler 300. The Charger is available with drivetrains that range from mild to wild, from the corporate 3.6L Pentastar V6 to the monster 707 hp Hellcat V8 that can launch the Charger to 60 mph in a shade over three seconds. For model year 2012, the Charger was available with SXT, SRT-8, SE and R/T trim levels.
