I wanted an all terrain tire but for mostly on road use with the occasional bad snow storm use. I haven't had them very long so I'll try to update if I can.

Japanese-based tire manufacturer Yokohama has been existing in the global tire market for more than a century. Particularly in the U.S. market, it has been impressive with its widespread portfolio that fulfills the tire needs for passenger cars, crossovers, SUVs, performance cars, trucks, and minivans. Offering a perfect blend of on- and off-road performance, comfort, and capability, the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 is the tire manufacturer’s all-terrain tire that’s designed for use on light trucks and SUVs for optimum performance in all weather conditions. With the help of cutting-edge technologies, the Geolandar AT G015 has been optimized for longevity, year-round performance, durability, and on- and off-road traction. But, is the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 a true delight for SUV and pickup truck owners in normal and challenging conditions? Let’s find out in this Yokohama Geolandar AT tire review.
Features and Benefits
All-terrain tires are engineered to offer drivers strong traction and performance on- and off-road and they feature an aggressive tread pattern that enables them to run on challenging conditions like rocks, mud, dirt, and even snow. They are also highly durable and feature reinforced sidewalls to withstand damage from off-road driving. The Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 is no exception in the all-terrain tires list, and it takes a leap in certain areas with its cutting-edge features.
There are many technologies in the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 that enhance year-round traction and grip. First, the tire features Yokohama’s Enduro compound that’s optimized to remain flexible for grip in rain and snow. The Triple 3D sipes of the Geolandar AT G015 change the shape as the tread wears to ensure a consistent biting edge for confident traction in all four seasons. For an enhanced driving experience in wet weather conditions, the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 has circumferential grooves that assure quick water dispersion to prevent the risk of hydroplaning and offer increased wet grip. And then, there are Edgetec grooves that create more biting edges for traction in snow.
For longer tread life, the Geolandar AT G015 features a flat and wide profile that evenly distributes pressure and weight to combat uneven, premature wear. The Endurocore construction of the tire contributes to its off-road durability and also improves sturdiness, thus increasing load-carrying capacity. Yokohama’s engineering is at its best with the introduction of a Multi-Pitch Tread Variation that allows the Geolandar AT G015 to reduce road noise and provide a quieter and more comfortable ride.
Offered in 15 to 22-inch tire sizes, the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 offers a remarkable limited manufacturer tread life warranty of up to 60,000 miles along with a 30-day trial satisfaction guarantee. However, in the case of LT-metric sizes, the limited manufacturer tread life warranty is valid for up to 50,000 miles.
Pros and Cons
Is the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 worth considering or should you choose something else? Let’s find out the pros and cons of the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 before we further mention our view in the end.
- The tire features an optimized all-season, all-terrain tread pattern for superior winter and wet traction.
- Robust construction quality helps it combat against worst impacts in off-road conditions.
- Advanced tread design improves its performance off-road and keeps highway rides noise-free and comfortable.
- New-gen, patented rubber compound is optimized for wear resistance and longer mileage.
- Absolute peace of mind with a limited manufacturer tread life warranty of up to 60,000 miles.
No tire is perfect, and the Geolandar AT G015 definitely has some weaknesses:
- There are plenty of tire sizes available than its contemporaries, but a slightly higher price tag could be a downside.
- It may offer adequate traction, durability, and longevity, but the ride comfort isn’t as pleasing as claimed.
- It may offer good lateral stability on snow, however, the braking distance is relatively longer in snow and wet conditions.
SimpleTire’s view on Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 tires
If you need a tire that offers high durability even in challenging conditions, offers commendable traction in all weathers, and has longer tread life, the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 is indeed one of the best options with greater versatility. By paying slightly more than some lesser-known brands and peers, the Geolandar AT G015 offers greater value year-round while driving on- and off-road. The return on the cost of ownership is also satisfactory with a limited manufacturer tread life warranty of up to 65,000 miles, and likewise, the driving pleasure is exceptionally enhanced with good handling and high aquaplaning resistance. In comparison to Cooper Discoverer AT3, and Hankook Dynapro ATM (RF10), the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 is a fairly good choice with greater versatility.
Vehicles the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 is an OEM tire for
Commonly used on pickups and SUVs, the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 is used as Original Equipment on the 2020 RAM 1500 Classic and 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness.

Quiet, not comfortable because there E rated tires on a 2019 Ram 1500 4wd, but when pulling our rv trailer there great, very stable, sure footed. Like the tire, but should have gotten different rating, buying online saved me money, but didn't get a dialogue with expert to sort out the tire rating needed.
Although these are LT tires, they have become my favorite for a 28' tandem dual flatbed. Wear good and don't dry rot like trailer tires
Only have a few hundred miles on dry road so far. They are very quiet with great traction. There is nothing like the quiet secure feeling you get from a new set of sneakers on your vehicle.
I bought a set of these for my daughters Kia Sportage 4x4 SUV. They are the LT tire casing so a little overkill for a light SUV but they are tough and will last a long time. Gas mileage went down a little due to tire weight compared to the P-metric road tires she had previously. We just had a week of freezing weather with lots of snow and compacted ice and some freezing rain. These tires performed amazingly well in every situation. I lowered the comfort rating to 4 simply due to the tire casing stiffness from being an LT tire on a light SUV, they are definitely stiffer and run higher psi compared to P-metric tires, but that is a plus in my book. I can live with a stiffer ride knowing that I have a tougher tire. I am a truck guy, tough is good.
Great tire!!
Excellent price, great ride quality. Drove uphill through 6-12" of snow and these tires did great! Quiet on roads. I have these 285/75r18's on my 2022 F350 SRW and they fit perfectly, no rubbing. When these wear down I'm going to get the same ones!
Great riding all terrain tire. Each tire took very little weight to balance which is impressive for a 305/70/16 truck tire. They do have a slight hum at highway speed but not bad at all. They do ride a bit stiffer than a highway tire but that's to be expected from an all terrain tire. I'm very happy with them.
I love these tires. I'm out in SW Colorado and they run great on my Dually with no noise at all. They are surprisingly really good in snow on the roads. Their only downfall is mud where there is soft ground. You just won't get any good bite with these on a Dually. They might perform better on other vehicles, but on my truck, I just avoid muddy and very saturated ground.
Pretty good tires. 2nd set of these. 35-40k miles first go round and I pull 5th wheel around all over. Good tires.
