The Sailun Terramax A/T 4S is the manufacturer’s all-terrain tire that’s designed for use on SUVs, Jeeps, pickups, and vans. It is engineered for on- and off-road driving, and comes with many great features that contribute to reliable driving performance.
In this Sailun Terra A/T 4S review, we will take a look at the tire’s features, strengths and weaknesses, vehicle compatibility, and other important details to help the buyers make a well-informed decision.
Features and Benefits
The Sailun Terramax A/T 4S belongs to the all-terrain tire category, and it offers the best of both worlds by allowing the drivers to switch from on- to off-road driving. The performance of the tire is not affected in any season, whether it is dry, wet, or winter weather. Now let’s get into more detail and learn about the key features and benefits of this tire.
- Solid on- and off-road performance – The tire features an aggressive tread design that can perform on- and off-road. The tread block placement, the sipe placement, and the angled block placement are such that they offer improved grip on the pavement as well as soft, loose, and rough terrains. The tread can even sail you through deep mud and loose dirt, and at the same time maintain optimum cleaning for better traction.
- Better dry, wet, and snow traction – The Terramax A/T 4S is engineered to offer all-season performance, which means it is good for use in dry, wet, and wintry weather conditions. The tire is Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified, which indicates its ability to provide traction and grip in moderate to severe winter weather conditions.
- Reliable handling and controllability – This tire also doesn’t disappoint when it comes to handling and stability as it features tread elements that enhance steering responsiveness and controllability. The tire is able to maintain precise steering response and act to the driver’s commands in time. A solid center rib is present on the tread center and provides optimum control while driving on paved surfaces.
- Durable construction and longer service life – Sailun has also ensured that the tire stands solid like a rock and has the ability to absorb driving pressures and spread them across the footprint for reduced risk of irregular wear and longer service life. The durable tread compound reduces the tread wear rate and promotes longevity.
- Quieter and comfy rides – The center rib of the tire is optimized to offer maximum comfort and the multi-directional sipe system that features extra deep sipes at varying angles also boosts the ride comfort without impacting the traction performance. The tread design is closed on the edges to resist the airwaves from entering the footprint and generating noise, thus offering a quieter and pleasant ride experience.
- Backed by tread life warranty – Sailun covers the Terramax A/T 4S with a 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, offering the customers a better ownership experience.
This tire is offered between 15- to 20-inch rim sizes, making the tire compatible with a larger set of vehicles. Let’s go over some of its available sizes:

I've had these tires for about 12,000 miles and they've done terrible . If you drive on asphalt mostly and a dirt road every once in a while these are your tires. For me I drive on asphalt every once in a while and mostly on dirt roads and mud. The thing I hate about this tire is that they don't clear at all. Once they get caked up in mud you lose all traction and it's like driving on slicks in the mud. They do the same in snow they got packed with snow and I slid off the road and totaled my truck I had my truck in 4wd and not even going 20 mph and still slid off. Don't recommend these to anyone
I've had my terramax a/t 31x10.5r15s on my jeep for over a year now. Very little wear and stick to the road wet or dry like they're glued down. They perform well in winter, even though my tj is pretty light. I just keep it in 4wd when it snows. Price was excellent, just a little over $1000 for all 5. I'll buy them again! Not hung up on paying for big name brands.
These are the best trailer tires u can buy..they have a g rating...iv e had mine for 3 trs and they are still perfect
If your looking for all around great tire this is it,price is fair great handling wet or dry tou can't go wrong with this winner.
I immediately felt the difference. My truck rides very stable. Steering is tighter. I thought this tire would be noisy but it is not. It handles well on the freeway and if there was any noise, I hardly notice it. Overall this tire is great. I would definitely recommend it and I will surely buy a set over and over.
I have gotten 3 different sets of these tires for my Toyota Tacoma, i feel they are very Good in the Minnesota winters. I have driven through snow i should have been stuck in and also as long as you don't spin the tires you can pull quite a bit because they grabbed very well for me.
Just purchases my 2nd set of Sailun LT Terramax A/T 275 R 65 20..1st set lasted 4 years, 62k miles on paved and dirt roads, ranch work...previously had Goodyear Wranglers that had to be replaced every year, and for what they cost, should last a hell of alot longer...Very very pleased with these Sailun tires...would and will be purchasing another set in 4 years!!!!
They are pretty quiet on the highway but are noisy on the bumps. Almost sound like Fred Flintstone tires. They handle well for most driving conditions but they suck in snow. I live in the country on a dirt road and have had to use 4 wheel drive many times in snowy conditions. I wanted to try something different but wish I would have stayed with the Bridgestone Dueler AT's that I have run for many years.
For the money, best tire I ever owned.
