Surprisingly great in the rain, very quiet for a snow tire.

Falken Tires has successfully established a reputation as a leader in high performance tire technology for automobiles, trucks, SUVs and crossovers.
Winter tires are made specifically for use in lower temperatures, ice, slush, and snow. To increase traction on snow and ice, winter tires have a tread pattern with wider gaps than regular tires. Drivers who have to struggle with difficult winter circumstances when temperatures routinely fall below 45 degrees Fahrenheit might consider purchasing a set of winter tires.
The Falken Eurowinter HS01 is a studless winter tire that is designed for use on coupes, sedans, and minivans. These tires offer excellent grip, handling, traction, and performance and are designed to work even in the coldest European winters.
However, is it the best tire for your car and your budget? Let's take a look at a review of Falken Eurowinter HS01 to see if it's the right tire for you.
Features and Benefits
As previously said, winter tires are ideal for cold weather and roads with light snow all winter. They use a specific composition that keeps the rubber flexible even in extremely cold temperatures. This improves the tire's traction on the road, even on ice. Is Falken Eurowinter HS01 a great winter tire? Let's see by learning its features and benefits.
- Excellent winter weather traction: The winter compound and tread pattern improve traction. On ice and snow-covered road surfaces, the non-directional tread pattern, 4D Nano Design technology, and 3D Canyon sipe technology improve traction. With more biting edges grabbing the pavement thanks to these tread components, the tire will perform better. Even in severe winter weather, the winter compound keeps the tire supple.
- Minimized risk of hydroplaning: By removing water and slush from beneath the footprint, the middle transverse grooves of the tread minimize hydroplaning. This results in a better wet traction and driving experience in winter weather.
- Enhanced controllability: A non-directional design and unique tread design maintain the continual surface contact. As a result, the steering is more responsive and the vehicle is more stable, while the adaptive constant pressure tread maximizes all-around traction and improves cornering and maneuverability.
- Longer lasting tread life: A longer tread life is another benefit of this tire. The unique tread pattern, 4D Nano design technology, and strong compound increase the tread life. Footprint has a constant pressure adaptive tread pattern that adjusts to every circumstance to improve road traction. Driving pressure is distributed uniformly along the tread area by the continual surface contact and the non-directional tread design, while the unique compound reduces the rate of tread wear. Together, these two components prevent uneven and early wear development, extending the lifespan of the tire.
- Fuel-efficient performance: The 4D-Nano design compound and the distinctive tread pattern work together to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This tire is a fuel-conscious and environmentally beneficial choice because of its decreased rolling resistance levels, which also lower fuel consumption.
- Comfortable drive: Additionally, the constant surface contact lowers vibrations and road noise levels that passengers might hear. As a result, the vehicle encourages a relaxing driving experience.
Pros and Cons
So, is it a good fit for your coupes, sedans, and minivans? Before giving our final opinion, let's first look at its Pros and Cons:
- Winter tread pattern to improve traction on icy roads and during severe winter weather
- Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified for use in cold weather ranging from moderate to severe winter weather conditions
- Unidirectional tread pattern boosts traction on snowy, icy, and frozen roads
- 3D Canyon sipes to improve traction, handling, and stability on icy, snowy, and wintry roads
- 4D Nano design technology boosts the tread life
- Central transverse grooves to minimize the risk of hydroplaning
- More affordable than some competitor’s tires
Despite having all of these features and benefits, the Falken Eurowinter HS01 tire could be better in some areas, such as:
- Cannot be used when temperatures are consistently above 45 degrees Fahrenheit
- Not backed by a limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Cannot be pinned with studs
SimpleTire’s view on Falken Eurowinter HS01 tires
If you're looking for an exclusive winter tire, the Falken Eurowinter HS01 is a good choice. Consider Falken Eurowinter HS01 tires if you want great traction and performance in slick, icy, and winter conditions.
In comparison to the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 and Toyo Observe G3-Ice, the Falken Eurowinter HS01 offers superior traction, tread life, handling, and performance.
Although the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 offers better traction than the Falken Eurowinter HS01, Eurowinter HS01 offers better handling and tread life at a lesser price. When compared to the Eurowinter HS01, the Toyo Observe G3-Ice provides inferior traction, handling, and tread life. Additionally, compared to the other two tires, Eurowinter HS01 is less expensive.
With the Falken Eurowinter HS01, drivers can expect excellent winter traction, handling, tread life, control, and comfortable drive. Overall, the Eurowinter HS01 is an excellent choice for winter tires because of its excellent performance in difficult winter weather conditions and low cost.

Very impressed, you wouldn't realize they were snow tires until the bad weather hits and you get through it. Even more impressed when I'm driving in the rain, they are excellent and braking response is wonderful. Tread wear is so far so good and I hope it remains that way.
so far, very good snow tyres, and away less expensive than others out there that fit my car, Alfa Giulia Q4. I barely notice that they are snows until the snow comes, then they do a great job. Why pay $250 per when these are $90 per less and as good as I've driven.
Live in upstate NY. Tires have great traction in all conditions. Ice grip is outstanding. I definitely recommend these for your car.
Just got it for 2 months and drove 900 miles to SC with some snow, sleet and heavy rain, the tires performed very well in all three weather conditions. Very satisfied!
