If you’ve got a light truck, Jeep, or SUV that’s equipped with 4WD and you like to get off the pavement from time to time, you already know that all-season or highway-terrain tires are just not going to be capable of getting the job done when it comes to durability and traction off-road. All-terrain light truck tires are the way to go, but ideally you’d like to get a set of tires that can give you the traction and resilience you need but with the ride quality, noise levels, handling, and general road manners of an all-season tire.
That might sound like a lot to shoot for, but the Delta Sierradial A/T is that kind of tire. The Sierradial A/T is designed for robust, dependable traction in mud, sand, snow, or rocks but it isn’t a clumsy, cumbersome, noisy tire on the pavement. Don’t just take our word for it, though – let’s go in for a closer look with this Delta Sierradial A/T review:
Features and Benefits
Here are just a few of the bullet points that make the Delta Sierradial A/T a great value and strong performer in an all-terrain tire for light trucks and SUVs:
- Durable, damage-resistant silica-enriched tread compound for long wear, wet-weather performance
- Reinforced construction with an up to 10-ply rating
- Reinforced bead for improved control and durability in rough conditions
- Aggressive off-road lug tread with deep 16/32” tread depth
- Good self-cleaning of mud, sand, dirt, snow, and debris so there’s always a clear section of tire that can dig into soft surfaces as the wheel turns
- Backed by a 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Lower rolling resistance cuts fuel consumption over the life of the tire
- Outlined white letter sidewall looks great on a variety of trucks and SUVs
- Sawtooth tread design with stepped ramps, sharp biting angles, and channels to evacuate mud and water
- Tread pitch is randomized and computer-tuned to cancel certain frequencies and resonances, keeping road noise to a minimum

SimpleTire’s view on Delta Sierradial A/T tires
When it comes to all-terrain tires for light trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps, there is a staggering number of choices out there on the market. The Sierradial A/T from Delta is an excellent prospect for an all-terrain tire that delivers dependable traction in mud, sand, snow, gravel, or loose dirt and the resilience to easily handle rocks, roots, and rough terrain. On the pavement, the Delta Sierradial A/T is responsive and civilized, with ride quality that’s compliant if a little firm at times. Handling and roadability on the highway are good; the Sierradial A/T doesn’t easily lose its composure on rough or broken pavement, doesn’t try to track itself down grooved surfaces, and has reassuring straight-line stability on road trips. Silica-enhanced tread compounds tend to offer increased durability and great wear properties along with wet-weather performance, and that’s exactly what the Sierradial A/T offers.
A taller reinforced bead and bead wire help with stability and control, along with an optimized wider, flatter footprint for shorter braking distances and even treadwear. A dense network of sipes (hair-thin slits in the tread face) multiplies traction with hundreds of biting edges that work as a system with the aggressive all-terrain tread blocks. While the Sierradial A/T isn’t Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified for severe winter service, we’re pretty confident in saying that this tire’s tread design should be all you need to navigate deeper snow and slush without getting stranded. A 50,000 mile warranty is pretty respectable for a tire at this price point, and of course, outlined white letter sidewalls just look cool on all kinds of trucks. Our SimpleScore rating system gives the Delta Sierradial scores of 7.7 for longevity, 7.8 for traction, and a nice solid 8.0 for handling.
