    Features and Benefits

The Discoverer AT3 LT is an excellent blend of all-terrain and all-season tires. As an all-terrain tire, it provides superior grip and traction on rocky terrains, dirt, gravel, highways as well as suburban roads. As an all-season tire, it offers traction and grip in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. Let’s take a look at the various impressive features offered in this tire. Balanced on-road treadwear – The Discoverer AT3 LT features patented Even Wear Arc Technology that ensures balanced on-road treadwear and impressive handling throughout the tire’s service life. Lower noise levels – The Whisper Grooves Technology is another patented innovation from Cooper that provides a sound barrier and doesn’t let the airwaves accumulate in the footprint to provide a quieter and more pleasant ride. Impressive cut and chip resistance – This Cooper all-terrain tire is provided with Durable-Tread Technology that protects the tread from cuts and chips caused by rocks, gravel, and other sharp objects, thus enhancing the tire’s self-guarding ability. Optimum self-cleaning ability – The Discoverer AT3 LT is engineered for on- and off-road use in diverse weather conditions. Sometimes, it could be used on wet roads and likewise, sometimes it could be taken on mud, dirt, gravel, etc. Therefore, the tread of this tire features bigger gaps between the tread blocks that promote self-cleaning and provide superior traction and grip. Enhanced durability – This pickup tire is built to perform heavy-duty tasks and run through challenging terrains, therefore, Cooper has put in efforts to make it as durable as possible. Its internal structure has a dual-ply polyester casing and twin steel belts combined with a sturdy nylon ply. The durable construction lets the tire maintain its original shape even when it is used in aggressive conditions. Exceptional year-round grip and traction – The tire features a silica-rich tread compound and a 5-rib design that boosts the tire’s gripping ability in dry, wet, and light winter wet conditions. While the advanced silica compound keeps the tread flexible in light wintry conditions for a firm grip, the wider tread grooves evacuate water from the contact patch area and reduce the chances of hydroplaning for a surefooted grip. Additionally, the staggered tread blocks provide better biting ability on soft, loose, and uneven terrains for improved grip and traction. Limited tread life warranty coverage – Cooper offers a limited manufacturer tread life warranty coverage of 60,000 miles on purchase of the Discover AT3 LT.

This all-terrain tire is available in 16- to 18-inch rims and its popular sizes include:

SimpleTire’s view on Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT tires

If you’re looking for a reliable tire for your pickup that comes with excellent durability and also doesn’t disappoint with the tread life, the Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT can be one of the ideal tires. Although it comes at a slightly higher price than its competitors, it has plenty of advantages over its peers. In diverse weather conditions, during occasional off-road and on-road use, the tire performs very well. The grip and handling performance of the tire on dry surfaces is impressive, but on snow and mud terrains, it doesn’t perform as good as some of its counterparts. The drives on paved roads are quieter and comfortable and you won’t face any trouble while traversing through soil, sand, and gravel.

Cooper offers the Discoverer AT3 LT in very limited sizes, which might restrict some vehicle owners from enjoying its driving pleasure. For drivers’ absolute peace of mind, the manufacturer offers a limited manufacturer tread life warranty of 60,000 miles on the purchase of this tire.

The Discoverer AT3 LT competes against the likes of Toyo Open Country A/T III, Nitto Terra Grappler G2, Hankook Dynapro AT2, General Grabber AT2, Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, Firestone Destination A/T2, and Yokohama Geolandar AT G015.

Vehicles the Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT is a good replacement tire for

Suitable for use on medium to heavy-duty pickups, the Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT is a great replacement choice for use on the Chevrolet Silverado 3500, Dodge D350, Toyota Tundra, Ford F-350, Lincoln Mark LT, and RAM 1500.

All around good all terrain tire. Wanted the Falkens but they jumped in price too much for my taste. Kind of disappointed in the winter traction but can't totally blame the tires as I think I didn't have enough weight in the bed of my plow truck. Pleased with the rest of it enough I'd consider another set but maybe a size or two up. Wear is like iron. I was happy with the transaction through simple tire.

This tire is aggressive and has excellent road manners. I do a lot of highway and trailering, but some off road too. It's meet and exceeded my expectations! Also I like that they are made in USA!

Amazing tires! They look great and are pretty quiet on the interstate. They pull great in mud and handle amazingly on the road. Perfect tire

I Ike these tires a lot, they have been my go to tire and Cooper has been my tire brand of choice. The tread is aggressive enough for my needs and still smooth and fairly quite on the highway.

These are the best looking tire I have found in the All terrain section, they are aggressive looking but ride really well. As long as the Cooper quality stays up then I will have found tires for all my trucks
