Was shocked that the tires bought new with my new 2017 Q7 Audi lasted less than 16,000 miles. The dealer basically said it looks like I drove too much in the hills. Well not really. I didn't drive inordinately in the hills. Won't be buying this brand to replace!

Founded in 1871, Continental Tire has been a pioneering tire manufacturer for different types of vehicles. Leading from the front with innovation, it was the first company to develop a patterned tread in tires. Currently, the German tire maker caters to the global audience with a variety of tires for passenger cars, sports cars, CUVs, SUVs, minivans, racing cars, light trucks, agricultural vehicles, and industrial equipment. Conti rolls out tires in different categories, such as all-weather, UHP, all-season, winter, all-terrrain, and UHP all-season.
Engineered for sports cars and luxury sedans, the Continental ContiSportContact 5 is a premier UHP tire that offers superior grip, traction, fuel efficiency, and excellent cornering in warmer weathers. While the ContiSportContact 5 is made from Continental's Black Chili compound to boost grip, handling, and traction, its large footprints ensure shorter braking distance. Backed by the ContiSeal Technology and SSR System, the UHP tire seals the hole with its sticky substance, so you do not require immediate roadside assistance following a puncture. While it offers superior stability and precise steering response due to the continuous center rib and broad shoulder pattern, the wide circumferential grooves help prevent hydroplaning.
So, does the Conti have enough to convince you to get one? This Continental ContiSportContact 5 review will help you understand its features in detail.
Features and Benefits
UHP tires are designed for exhilarating performance on sporty cars. Ideal for warmer weather conditions, these tires ensure sporty handling and responsive steering with faster acceleration and quicker braking. The Continental ContiSportContact 5 is an excellent UHP tire for sports cars and luxury sedans, offering great traction, handling, and control at high speeds.
- Superb handling and cornering: While its ribbed tread pattern and a strong center rib boost steering responsiveness, stability, and handling, the wide shoulder tread design allows precise cornering with a confident grip.
- Strong year-round traction: With its asymmetric tread design and use of Black Chilli compound, the Conti offers reassuring grip and traction in dry, wet, and even light snowy conditions. Thanks to the special silica compound, the UHP tire promotes confident rides with sporty handling. Lastly, shortened braking distances allow increased safety and control on the road.
- High fuel efficiency: The advanced tread design and all-season compound significantly reduce rolling resistance, which results in high fuel efficiency.

These tires were on my BMW when I purchased it; just purchased one to replace one of the tires that had been punctured. These ride so smooth (always get compliments when I take friends for a drive) and quiet.
