I bought these tires for my C7 Corvette Z06. Due to them being a run flat tire they are a little bit of a bumpy ride, but I don't fault the brand, that is just the price you pay for running on a run flat tire on a Corvette. These tires look and ride great in wet or dry conditions. No issues at all. Highly recommended and would certainly purchase them again in the future.

Japanese tire manufacturer Bridgestone is among the leading tire makers in the world with operations in more than 150 countries. Covering almost all vehicles of different sizes and shapes, it has a presence in most tire categories including all-season, all-terrain, all-weather, UHP, winter, commercial, and more. The Bridgestone Potenza S007A RFT is an ultra-high-performance tire that offers incredible performance during warm weather.
The Potenza S007A RFT not only provides superior grip and traction at high speeds but also delivers exceptional handling and stability. While the shoulder tread design boosts confident cornering at high speeds, the smooth tread ribs and bead areas allow quick steering response and excellent traction. The tire comes with Run Flat Technology that ensures you are not stranded even during low-pressure conditions. You can drive up to 50 miles at 50 mph after your tires have lost pressure. Designed for use on sports and performance cars, the S007A RFT is available in 18, 19, and 20-inch sizes.
So, how does it perform when put to the test? Let’s find out the answer in this Bridgestone Potenza S007A RFT tire review.
Features and Benefits
Ultra-high-performance tires are engineered to support high-speed performance on paved roads. The tread pattern ensures exceptional control and stability during cornering with precise steering response. The Potenza S007A RFT manages to tick most of the boxes to qualify for a capable UHP tire. Let’s understand how it is able to perform the way it does.
- Superior traction and grip – The specially engineered pattern geometry of the Potenza S007A RFT exerts higher contact pressure on the road leading to superb grip and better braking in dry and wet conditions. The presence of multiple 3D sipes allows for exceptional performance in wet weather while also maintaining pattern stiffness. The deep circumferential grooves allow quick water dispersal and maintain traction while avoiding the risk of hydroplaning.
- Exceptional control and stability – Engineered for high-performance drives, the tread design features wide center ribs and low-angle sipes for great control and enhanced stability during cornering. The ribbed pattern with shoulders featuring lateral grooves not only promotes even wear but also improves steering responsiveness.
- Run Flat Technology – Laced with Run Flat Technology (RFT), the Potenza S007A never lets you down during pressure loss conditions. You can still drive at up to 50 mph of speed for 50 miles with complete pressure loss which means you can drive to a safe place even with punctures.
