I got my tires 6 years ago for my X5 and planing to get another Blizzak DM-V2. The tread is 60% and is still very soft i might wait another winter but this is amazing. I bought it together with WS80 for my 330ci but that one the tread i less i will say 40%. Amazing tires from Bridgestone! Who ever not feel the confident of winter driving to buy this tires and see how everything is change!

Bridgestone provides a diverse selection of tires to consumers worldwide, including tires for passenger cars, light trucks and buses, aviation, construction and mining vehicles, motorbikes, and so on. You can navigate snow, ice, and slush with confidence by using Bridgestone winter tires.
When you get on the road in the winter, it's important to pay close attention to the weather and alter your driving strategy if you reside in an area that frequently has snowy or icy conditions. In cold weather, winter tires are made to provide the most traction and grip.
The Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 is a winter tire that’s designed for use on SUVs, CUVs, and light trucks. These tires provide dependable handling in icy environments.
However, is it the best tire for your car and your budget? Let's take a look at a review of Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 to see if it's the right tire for you.
Features and Benefits
While it's necessary to drive slowly, brake gently, and provide greater space between cars, installing winter tires may be the most crucial measure during winter. These tires are made of a softer composition and feature sipes and deeper grooves integrated into the tread. These characteristics improve contact with the road by allowing the rubber to move around and dispersing water or snow. How about learning the features and benefits of Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 to make the right decision on your winter tires?
- Excellent winter weather traction: A unique NanoPro Tech Multicell material ensures that the rubber retains its flexibility in colder climates and that the tire will maintain its traction in both dry and wet winter conditions. A combination of high-density 3D zigzag siping pattern and stabilized tread block arrangement improves the tread design's grip on icy and snow-covered road surfaces. Increased amount of biting edges increases traction to improve the tire’s forward mobility even during extreme winter weather conditions.
- Reduced risk of hydroplaning: A unique tread compound and pattern boosts the hydroplaning resistance. The compound's hydrophilic layer, microscopic biting particles, and wider lateral and circumferential grooves channel away water and slush from the footprint.
- Great controllability: The perfect tread shape of the Blizzak DM-V2 improves its controllability. Tread pattern's greater block stability allows the tire to maintain surface contact throughout its performance. As a result, the tire's steering responsiveness and driving stability improve. Steering response to the driver's orders gets faster and more precise, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure influencing the model.
- Improved maneuvering: An optimum tread design improves controllability, as the tread pattern's improved block stability keeps the tire's surface contact throughout operation. This enables the tire to improve the stability and steering response. In reaction to the driver's orders, the steering gets quicker and more accurate, and the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure that affects the model. As a result, even in harsh winter weather, the driver maintains control of the car.
- Longer lasting tread life: The tire can uniformly transmit the driving pressure around the tread area thanks to the flat footprint's optimal surface contact. Even distribution of acceleration, cornering, and braking forces prevents uneven wear patterns on the tire's surface. Additionally, the tread pattern on the Blizzak DM-V2 has tread depth indications. When the tire is around halfway worn, these signs, which are molded into the tread of the tire, visually alert the driver that the tire's traction is going to wear out.
- Quiet drive: Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 tires are quiet thanks to an optimized tread design that lowers road noises and vibrations.
Pros and Cons
So, is it a good fit for your coupes, sedans, and minivans? Before giving our final opinion, let's first look at its Pros and Cons:
- Winter tire tread pattern to improve traction on icy roads and during severe winter weather
- NanoPro Tech Multicell material to ensure both dry and wet winter traction
- High density 3D zigzag siping pattern and tread block arrangement increases the traction on ice and snow
- Hydrophilic layers, microscopic biting particles, and wider lateral and circumferential grooves funnel away water and slush to reduce the risk of hydroplaning
- An optimized tread design to offer a quiet drive
- Quiet drive
Despite having all of these features and benefits, the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 tire could be better in some areas, such as:
- These tires cannot be used year-round due to the flexible rubber compound's rapid degradation at temperatures above 45 degrees Fahrenheit
- No mileage warranty
- More expensive than some competitor’s tires

After sliding around last winter on some cheap, worn ATs, this is a major improvement! We just had our first snow and white roads and I kept at the speed limit comfortably and never once slid. Even at stops! Definitely would wear them out in the summer but they will only see winters so should last a couple of seasons at least.
Love them they are a great tire and simple tire made my purchase very easy and unstressful would highly recommend them
Love them!
Absolutely no problems ordering, delivering or installation!
The best winter snow tires for the USA market.
If you live in a place where four months a year are frozen, bitter, winter nightmare. With daytime temps maybe hitting 0 degrees Fahrenheit and nights down to -20F...this is the tire you want underneath you. Braking distances in ice and snow are truly impressive. I'm a little OCD about tire pressure and the snow's come off at the first sign of spring, and I have a set with 28,000 miles on them that appear brand new. I won't use anything else on my vehicles.
The absolute best winter snow tire. The new version is even better than the previous. These tires do a great job of increasing you safety during winter driving and makes driving in slippery and snowy conditions a non event. Not cheap, but the best of anything never is. I drive in remote rural areas in Northern Wisconsin mostly on State highways and county roads.
