For most drivers of SUVs, crossovers, and light trucks, all-season tires are going to make the most sense as a jack-of-all-trades option for daily drivers. All-season tires are designed for year-round traction and long wear, with the kind of handling properties, ride quality, low noise, and road manners you’d expect with an automotive all-season or Grand Touring tire. Considering how popular they are, it’s not a surprise that all-season light truck tires are available at every price point you can imagine, and that price and quality are usually directly tied to each other.
That’s where the Arroyo Eco Pro H/T comes in. The Eco Pro H/T from Arroyo is a light truck tire that delivers value way above and beyond its affordable price, with performance and a set of features that rival premium-brand tires that cost much more. But don’t just take our word for it here - let’s dive in for a closer look and break it all down a bit with this Arroyo Eco Pro H/T review:
Features and Benefits
Here are just a few of the things we like about the Arroyo Eco Pro H/T:
- The advanced tread compound is designed for long, even wear and dependable traction on wet or dry pavement
- Tread and casing are designed for good heat dispersal and low rolling resistance, helping to boost fuel economy
- Tread pitch is randomized and computer-tuned to neutralize certain frequencies and resonances to keep road noise to a minimum
- 5-rib all-season tread pattern with four wide circumferential grooves that resist hydroplaning by diverting standing water through and behind the tire’s contact patch
- A dense network of sipes, hair-thin slits that multiply surface area and traction to cut through standing water, snow, slush
- Lateral and interlocking cross-hatch grooves work as a system with circumferential grooves to enhance traction
- Solid center rib helps lock in great straight-line highway stability and road manners while enhancing steering response
- Closed shoulder helps keep road noise to a minimum and upgrades cornering ability by standing up to the inertia and forces of cornering, which reduces tread deformation and keeps more rubber on the road
- Backed by a 45,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Optimized, redesigned contact patch puts an even, wide footprint of rubber on the pavement for shorter braking distances, confident handling, and even wear properties
Pros and Cons
So, is this Arroyo tire the right choice for your ride and budget? Before you decide, let’s take a look at the tire’s strengths and weaknesses:

- Confident traction in dry, rainy, or light wintry conditions
- Ride quality is refined and comfortable

CONS:
- Not good off-road or in mud
- Not good in heavier snow and slush

SimpleTire’s view on Arroyo Eco Pro H/T tires
Let’s just cut to the chase here. If you’re looking for a dependable all-season tire for a light truck, SUV, or crossover and you don’t want to empty your checking account to do it, the Eco Pro H/T from Arroyo is an excellent choice. The Arroyo Eco Pro H/T consistently exceeds expectations when it comes to performance and value and is a great, versatile tire for today’s SUVs, trucks, and crossovers.
Handling and steering responses are direct, crisp, and immediate without being overly sensitive or touchy. Traction on wet or dry pavement is confident and dependable, thanks to that dense network of sipes and the system of grooves that boost grip in changing weather conditions. Cornering is consistent and neutral with little tendency to understeer or oversteer, and ride and road manners are composed even on irregular pavement. The Eco Pro H/T’s straight-line road manners on the highway are secure and stable without being sluggish, and the reduced rolling resistance makes a difference in fuel economy over the life of the tire.
Indeed, the Arroyo Eco Pro H/T falls somewhat when it comes to mud or heavier snow, but to be fair, most all-season tires don’t perform well in such conditions. In our opinion, this is a tire that makes a great replacement option for a wide range of vehicles. We used our SimpleScore system to look at reviews and performance parameters and our team assigned numerical values of 7.6 for longevity, 7.9 for handling, 7.8 for traction, and an overall composite score of 7.5.
