Founded in 1996, Accelera has its roots in Indonesia and it offers tires that are good at performance, look elegant, and provide maximum driving confidence. Its wide range of tires are suitable for use on light trucks, passenger cars, SUVs, CUVs, and 4x4s. The tire patterns offered by the manufacturer maximize handling and traction and ensure longer tread tread life.
The Accelera Phi R is the manufacturer’s all-season, ultra-high-performance tire designed for use on passenger cars, performance cars, CUVs, and sports cars. The tire is engineered to provide responsive handling and stability and provide better driving comforts and year-round performance.
In this Accelera Phi R review, we have covered the features and benefits, pros and cons, and other important details like warranty coverage and vehicle compatibility to give you a comprehensive understanding of its capabilities in practical conditions.
Features and Benefits
The Accelera Phi R is made for year-round use, so this all-season tire will offer you traction and performance in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. The tread elements and compound are also tuned to boost the driving performance, like ultra-high-performance tires. There are many advanced technologies and features in this tire, so let’s go over them.
- Solid high-speed stability and steering response – The tire has three ribs at the center that remarkably improve high-speed stability and ensure sharp steering response.
- Confident cornering performance – The Phi R also provides confident cornering performance. The sturdy shoulder blocks on both edges contribute to improved cornering and maneuvering stability.
- Reduced tread noise levels – The tire is also optimized for a pleasing driving experience. The sipes add more detail to the tread and do not allow airwaves to accumulate in the footprint area and generate noise.
- Reliable year-round performance – As discussed above, the Phi R is an all-season tire and therefore, it is optimized to offer traction and grip in dry, wet, and light wintry conditions. While the shoulder blocks as well as the ribs and sipes provide a good number of biting edges to the tire to firmly grip the surface, the four grooves ease water dispersion for reduced risk of hydroplaning and increased wet traction. Additionally, the flexible rubber compound of the tire assures better traction and grip in light snow conditions.
- Solid warranty – The Accelera Phi R is covered by a 30,000 miles limited manufacturer tread life warranty, promising great value and ownership experience to the drivers.
The Phi R is offered in 15- to 21-inch rim sizes, which means it is compatible with a wide variety of vehicles in the country. Here are some of its available sizes:

Excellent ride with a nice amount of tread to last this little Smart fortwo a long time.
Decent quality for the money
Compared to my prior tires these are smooth ride, got them on a 2013 smartcar 451, rear set.
These tires were purchased for a Nissan 240sx. Bought one set and my son used them for drifting which didn't last long obviously. However, second set purchased and he hasn't drifted and they are great. Nice looking tire, however doesn't do well in rain
Bought these tires because I was on a tight budget, turns out they are way better than other "expensive tires" I've used in the past. Never knock it till you try it.
Good tires for price
Great all around tire and value
